this site didn't really seem like it had a point. it seemed like a knockoff version of google and i don't think it would help me get a lot of information about my chosen topic. it also seemed like it would be confusing to use.

Timeglider is useful for some things, but does not seem very useful for most projects.
It doesn't even seem like a very popular concept.

This site is really cool. It makes videos out of pictures that you upload. It is a good idea to use for advertisement.

This is a good site for making a timeline but in order to do that, you must already have information. So this wouldnt be a site I could learn a lot from.

This tool allows you to create videos including your own pictures, music and videos. It is a free program that is easy to access and seems simple. You could use this program for many things. Instead of making a powerpoint or presenting information with another program you could make a video. The only negativing thing I would say is that with a video, unlike a powerpoint, you cannot control it as much.

This website allows you to interact with other students who may be in a group project with you in school. It is an easy way to communicate to your group without having to be face to face.

If you get to a Barracuda window that has a button at the bottom for temporary access...do it (you may have to click twice)

Also: pay attention to the questions I have listed at the top of the blog posting...these will help guide your responses.

AND: Most of these tools are final products...meaning that you would research, conduct your experiment or otherwise solve your problem and use the tools as the final product: a time line, a comic book, a video, a blog.

The site seems like it could be very useful, taking out the need for WMM (Windows Movie Maker) for short picure shows. I am not able to see the quality of what it could do for me, as it requires a regestration and payment for more advanced and useful functions and I dont want to do that. It could be useful, or it could not be.
It can be used to make a show based upon pictures of an item that you got for your project.
I could possibly use it in creative writing, to give some visual aid to a story or poem that i wrote.

This website seems like it's used as a visual aid. It wouldn't really help for research because people choose their own words. It was cool in Mr. Gargaro's class though.

I went to this site in search of history on topics that interested me, but the majority of the timelines I viewed were hard to follow, and I don't think I will use this site as a tool in my project.

i agree with john and matt, this site does seem like it could be very useful. however, like matt said, it requires registration as well as a fee depending on how advanced you want your video to be...and paying for stuff is always an inconveniance.

The site has an interesting idea, similar to Google as some have pointed out. It does it in a novel way, making a spiderweb of possible topics and ideas. However, it just ends up linking you to a site, which is exactly what google does. I think its better and faster (harder, stronger) to use google or anoyther search engine.
I dont see any use for this in any of my other classes, as its just a glorified search engine.

Timeglider is a pretty interesting website where you can create your own interactive timeline. It is very easy to use at school. It would be very helpful during a history class.

this site seems like an efficient way for me to keep my data organized, and neat, opposed to me keeping all my notes in an actual binder, which would eventually lead to them ending up in the bottom of my bag.

This site is great. It lets you make your own site, and you are able to customize it the way you want to. I find this site very useful, and you can pretty much use it for any class.

This site takes the information that you giver it, and creates a bubble chart. Spanning across any topic, and all information, it can show your information in an easily accessable way.
I see use for this in many of my classes for visual presentations.
Only con that i can find at the moments is that you need to register to use it. Which is standard, but i'm feeling lazy and i dont want to register xD

I think this is like a fancier version of a Favorites or Bookmark thing. It lets u put all of your favorite websites in one spot and u can categorize them into differnt tabbs in the binder or even give it its own binder. i think its just easier to add a website to your favorites than go all the way to this website and sign in

This site is used to help share information. It seems very easy to use and it is free. This program could be used in class for all types of differnt things including presenting information in a different way.

Whatdoyousuggest seemed like an excellent way to organize data. Responses are organized based on topic. For example, a query "quantum computing" comes up with results organized into "entanglement", "MIT", "Algorithms", etc. However, in general it s not anymore advanced than a normal search engine. The switch to a different IU would not be worth a new way to organize search results.

This program is very easy to you and could be used in every class at school. It allows you to save all of your work online. The program allows you to keep everything organized and together and makes things simple and easy to find.

Yes, what emily said about livebinders is pretty much along the lines of what i said, and it is an easy way to find all your work, because you don't have to dig around in your backpack to look for anything.

Wordle is for making a collage of words. It takes any text that u type into the box and arranges it randomly into a design. It might be useful fo describing something..like having the big word be like "Amanda" and having all the other words describe me

well Maria it depends on what topic you choose for this project, either way, you can still save your work there, instead of risking it being lost overnight, and you can come back to it the next day and continue work on it.

Animoto is a website that puts pictures together to make a video. Basically, a glorified slide show. And unless you pay for access to the website you can only create a video that is only 30 seconds long.

It seems like it would be a good blogging site, you just need to be creative to take full advantage of it. The only downside is that you need to install the software from the site to create a blog.
I do not see much a use of this in school as we cant install stuff easily. But it can be used at home.

Actually Beals and Paul. One of the most useful tools for making an animated slide show is windows moive maker. you can do much more than you can in Powerpoint, and it comes with windows. :D

live binders seems like it could be a very useful site, as it is almost like a binder online (HA! hence the name xD). You can create and put information into it in a binder setting.
I can see many uses of this in school for teachers to put their stuff easily online.
Only con is that it may be hard to use or take awhile to get it to look pretty.

timeline worked on the computer, it helps you create a timeline, this would be useful in computer math because it alows you to organize specific dates, and it would be useful in history and it helps you organize events but you need to go to its site to go to it

This is a really awsome site. It takes random pics and video clips and turns them into something new and awsome aka a music video. It looks like it could be useful for fun or for a project for school. It could be used in almost any class. It did say that the items used in the presentation are always different, so if you accidentally deleted the old music video created, you would probably not be able to fix it up and have the same product again. I believe this website can help to organize my project is a tasteful and intresting manner that could catch almost anyone's attention.

Wordle seems like an intresting site. It takes the words you put in a text box and puts them into collage form. It seems good to use if you need to describe something. It could be used in any class, but I think that it is limited to what it can do. For example, it can't show an entire project on it. I could use this in my project because it could help to be a visual aid in a certain characteristic about my project. Overall, while it is kind of limited, it helps to show a colorful visual aid that could be added to almost anything, even a blog. It is sure to catch people's attention and seems to be very creative. I think that it adds a creative side to any project it is used for.

While some people do not like this website, I disagree with them. It takes a word and gives you the common things that would be searched with this word. It is kind of like a word tree. I do think that it could help in searching for information for my project. This could be used to look up information for another class. While it is a helpful site, I do believe Google accomplishes the same thing. Whatdoyousuggest also took longer for me to understand. I did not understand how to use it at first.

Livebinders seems like an intresting website that can enrich the human mind in many perplexing ways. It is basically an organized "online binder" where a person can put information that can be posted to the public. I could use this in my project because I can put the iformation and presentation in this so that everyone can see my work. It can be used for any class, and when I was previewing this website I came across a colledge class and the professor was doing lectures that were embedded into his livebinder. I do not really see any cons about this website other than the fact that you have to create an account, which is needed for most of these websites. I feel that this is more for education purposes than for creative purposes, but I think that it would organize any information in a organized and presentable way for any kind of occasion.

Wikidot seems like a more contemporary blog that would add a more creative touch than livebinders. It is also a blog rather than an informational "online binder" so it is more opinionated. This could be a way for me to record my thoughts and feelings about the project or include other information about my project. It could be used for almost any class. Some religion classes are doing blogs now as well as certain spanish classes. I think it is a good way to display information in a thought provoking way, but I do feel that it is more of an opinionated way of displaying information rather than an informational way.

I agree with Emily with her view about how powerpoint can help you control the product more, but the main idea of this website is for a fast and easy way. Powerpoint takes a while do create. For example, pictures off a camera almost always have to be resized which takes forever. This is a way for fast service with less time and work. If you do not like the way it came out insert the pics again because the product almost always comes out different.

I agree with Lauren. I think superherosquad has too much stuff on it. I also think that it seems childish and should not be a tasteful way to present a project that is supposed to be graded on our level of thinking. I also think that it is confusing and something that would not help in my project.

I agree with both Emily and Andrew. Livebinders is an edequate way to have less bookbag clutter and have a more organized way of keeping information for each class. The downfall is though that we need computers and are not allowed to bring our laptops. If we were able to bring out laptops, this would be an adequate site to keep information and a more efficient way of learning.

I agree with Maria's thoughts about Timeglider, but I also feel that it seemed confusing at first with the set up. I did not at first like the view and layout of the time line because of the position of the text.
